The new Theater LT 2 +R offers three decisive benefits: a slimline, easy-to-integrate form; way above average sound quality for home cinema applications and music playback; plus the dependability of a Teufel complete solution. We are offering a 5.1 set with intricate hairline finish and a perfectly balanced surround receiver including Dolby Digital/dts decoder at an unbeatably low price.
The full surround receiver integrated into the subwoofer guarantees connection of digital and analogue signal sources such as DVD players/recorders, TV, sat receivers, PCs, MP3 players, games consoles or video recorders - without the need for any extra appliances.
It includes a VHF/MW radio and Dolby Digital/ProLogic/dts decoder, extensive setting options and an integrated six-channel amplifier with up to 500 watt performance.
Communication between the supplied remote control and the display integrated into the front allows easy control of all important functions from the comfort of your armchair. Of course, the amplifier is precisely harmonised with the Teufel speakers included.
The column speakers seem to effortlessly achieve the delicate balance between narrow shape and hi-fidelity sound. Combining both is a fine art that, for reasons of pure physics, requires expertise which, of course, Teufel can provide.
Slender column speakers obviously require the smallest possible speaker cones because of their narrow shape. The columns are then easier to overload when producing lower mid tones than chassis with larger diameters. That is less noticeable in home cinema ranges than with demanding music recordings.
Teufel has designed the shape of the satellites of the Theater LT 2+R in such a way that 10 cm mid tones can still be used. The result: mid-tone reproduction that is clearly expanded downward without the dreaded frequency gap between subwoofer and satellite that makes music playback seem slightly undercooled.
That's why the LT 2+R is an excellent solution for those customers who primarily want high quality CD sound but column-shaped speakers. And even if you only plan to use the system as a home cinema: you will also be impressed with the “rounded” harmonious sound of the set.
The pleasant side effect of using the large, mid-tone chassis is that the subwoofer can be cut off by the AV receiver from as little as 110 Hz. It is therefore no longer locatable, which allows a lot more freedom for placement in the room. It can be placed wherever there is space for a narrow bass speaker.
We took the quality requirements for the centre speaker, which is so essential for 5.1 reproduction, very seriously in the development of the L 220 C. The same chassis is used here as for the L 220 FR column speakers so that harmonious overall sound is always guaranteed.
The table base supplied allows secure and effective form of placement. Alternatively the centre can also be fixed straight onto the wall.
With a combination of reduced depth and integrated wall brackets, the speakers fit into your living environment without dominating it, which was the case with conventionally designed, angular speakers.
Thanks to its Downfire bass reflex construction, this slender appearance is also what characterises the subwoofer L 2200/6 SWR which, in addition to the integrated surround receiver, also features a generously proportioned 25 cm bass tone chassis. The precise connection of both groups of components allows sound to be reproduced in rooms of up to 35 m2
The Theater LT 2+R is available from Teufel in two configurations:
Set 1+R with a centre and four column speakers,
Set 3+R with a centre, two “short” and two “long” column speakers.
Whatever you choose, the LT2+R rule always applies: “slenderest” appearance, best sound and the easiest to use.
