Impaq® 400
With the Impaq 400, Teufel presents a complete DVD surround sound system for the very first time. The combination of DVD receiver and three speakers represents the perfect solution for everyone who doesn’t want to or can’t set up a range of individual components plus five speakers – but who nevertheless wants top-quality pictures and sound including the illusion of surround sound.
The set consists of a newly developed 2.1 receiver with integrated radio, surround decoders and DVD player, the appropriate subwoofer and two painstakingly adjusted satellite speakers.
Additional satellite speakers for the centre and rear area are not required because an ingenious electronic switch in the DVD receiver correspondingly processes the signal to generate an amazingly authentic surround experience from just two speakers.
The Impaq 400 not only saves buying and setting up additional appliances plus satellite speakers, it also provides you the security of knowing that you have a perfectly harmonised component system from an experienced manufacturer. The Impaq 400 is absolutely perfect for people who don’t want to get bogged down in technical data or have to think about amplifier-speaker pairings, but simply want a well-functioning, harmonious-sounding audio solution for music and home cinema.
With the Impaq 400 you can do much more than just play DVDs. The integrated drive reads practically all DVD formats but also music CDs and data media containing MP3, WMA or JPEG files.
An integrated FM/AM receiver with high-quality RDS radio reception, with the added option of setting your favourite programme on the station buttons.
Using your USB stick/MP3 player you can connect directly to the USB port of the DVD receiver and play videos or music titles from there.
You can also use your iPod with the optional iTeufel dock! A total of three analogue stereo sources (e.g. PC, MP3 player or TV sound) plus two digital sources (e.g. TV/satellite decoder or DVD recorder) can be connected using the Impaq 400 set.
The appliance’s video equipment is impressive too. HDMI provides the most modern form of connectivity, while scart, composite, s-video and component video guarantee that it will work with older appliances.
All of the device’s functions can be controlled using a single large remote control from the comfort of your armchair, while the most popular operating steps can be made on the luxury, high-gloss appliance itself.
The set’s three speakers have been developed specifically for this DVD receiver in order to achieve a fascinatingly clear, powerful, yet room-filling sound. The IP 400 DR DVD receiver ensures smooth frequency responses and astonishing dynamics thanks to ingenious electronic filtering and a total of 150 watt pure tone performance from its three digital power amplifiers.
The compact IP 400 F two-way satellites use a tried and tested Teufel chassis. It has already been used in many much more expensive speakers and has now been adapted to perfectly suit the small housing.
A support for direct assembly has been integrated into the casing. Also includes a table base for easy placement, e.g. on a shelf.
When it comes to looks, the compact Subwoofer IP 400 SW blends seamlessly into its environment thanks to its narrow, easy-to-place form. When it comes to sound though, it unmistakably draws attention to itself with its 200 millimetre bass speakers and bass reflex tuning.
With this harmonious combination of speaker knowledge and experience and the ultra-modern technology, the Impaq 400 can do much more than just match up to conventional surround sets when it comes to filling rooms of up to 25m2 with sound.
What’s more, thanks to its space-saving design, the comprehensive equipment and sensational price, the Impaq 400 is also perfect as a high-end secondary appliance for adjoining rooms, bedrooms or offices. Impaq 400 also has a wide impact here too – with just two speakers plus subwoofer.
