The Concept S +R stands out thanks to an idea that was as obvious as it was practical: we’ve built the receiver directly into the subwoofer. The SW+R Dolby Digital/dts woofer has a full multichannel receiver with three analogue and two digital inputs, Dolby Digital/dts-decoder, Dolby Prologic switch, 500 watt output, remote control and AM/FM radio.
This means you can directly connect signal sources such as DVD players/recorders, TV, satellite receivers, MP3 players, games consoles and video recorders – and control them all from the comfort of your sofa. Without the need for a separate surround receiver. Everything runs centrally through the subwoofer – even stereo sources are now in virtual surround sound.
Combined with the attractive and elegant Concept S satellites, you have the perfect optical and acoustic audio complement to your modern flat screen. Taking up a floor area of just 22 x 22 cm, the slimline, 9 cm wide and 1.13 metre high aluminium columns can be perfectly integrated into almost every living room. The acoustically identical FCR centre speaker is in landscape format and easily fits on, over or under the screen.
When it comes to sound, you can rely on Teufel. The Concept S FCR supports the Teufel philosophy of using the same technical equipment for front and centre speakers for optimum sound. This set offers much more than similar-looking speaker systems from department stores that are usually cheap imitation aluminium.
The housings of the Concept S Satellites are made from solid aluminium – an extremely solid and robust material that is perfect for making speakers. All 26(!) drivers used in the Concept S are magnetically shielded so that all of the speakers can be set up without worrying about their proximity to TVs or monitors.
The version with the integrated receiver makes the decision to buy this Teufel set even easier – one click and you have your perfectly harmonised solution with all the benefits of an integrated solution! If you want, for instance, Set 1 (four small columns), take the two columns and make it larger through three Concept S FCR satellites, that can be utilised as 1 x Centre and 2 x rear loudspeakers (Set 3) Rather, if you’d like the „big“ version, enjoy with the five Centre/Front satellites for an amazing sound past your walls.
